Health and Safety Rep training

Learn how to keep yourself and your colleagues safe at work. Everybody deserves to be safe at work and it pays to know how to prevent accidents and promote behaviour that doesn’t risk workers’ safety.

We provide Health & Safety Rep (HSR) training for members. HSR training is funded by your employer (to comply with legal obligations). If you’re a non-member you can also access our training for a fee.  Find out more!

Delegate Training – become a leader in your workplace!

Becoming a delegate is a great way to develop your communication, problem solving and negotiation skills. If you’re interested in becoming a delegate, you’ll be provided with plenty of training and support to help you become a confident and effective leader in your workplace.

Delegate training is open to UWU members only. To learn more and to register for training, visit our Delegate Training page

Which training is for me?

Well, it depends on you! We have a comprehensive calendar of workshops coming up that you can register for or on-demand workshop you can view any time you wish. But, you have to be a member of UWU first! Join us now.

An HSR is a co-worker with special responsibility and training in workplace health and safety. All our Health and Safety courses are run specifically for HSRs. Workers can report risks to their HSR and it will be raised with employers to make workplaces safer for all. Interested? Learn More…

STAND UP FOR WORKING PEOPLE

Our website is hosted on 100% carbon neutral servers in Naarm (Melbourne). The United Workers Union is committed to creating the secure & future-proof jobs workers and their communities need as our country continues to transition to a net zero economy.

UWU acknowledges that we meet and work on the unceded lands of First Nations peoples. We wish to pay respect to their Elders — past and present — and acknowledge the important role all First Nations peoples continue to play within Australia and in our union.
