AT WORK REPORT
Research from the University of Technology Sydney’s Climate Justice Research Centre has revealed that existing regulations for addressing the impacts of workplace heat are inadequate.
The report, High Heat and Climate Change at Work, is based on interviews and a national survey of workers from various UWU industries including home care, education, health care, logistics, agriculture and manufacturing.
The project examined how members of the United Workers Union (UWU) experience and manage high heat conditions in the workplace, as well as their views on the relationship between climate change and workplace heat.
