Following a 4-hour work stoppage last week, winery workers at Pernod Ricard have endorsed to continue their industrial action, demanding a fair wage increase and job security.

The stoppage will span morning, afternoon, and night shifts, with over 120 workers at the site participating in the action.

This action is expected to impact the processing and packaging operations across the entire production line for 24-hour.

“Strike action today sends a strong message to the company that workers need a cost of living wage increase. If these calls aren’t heard, and further action is taken, we could see a decrease in availability for customers.” Ben Reichstein, UWU Organiser said.

Members at this winery worksite retain their right to take further industrial action and stoppages following the strike on Tuesday.
