From 5:15pm on Friday 5 July at the MCG, Russell Athletic manufacturing workers, who make Sherrin footballs for AFL and AFLW games, will be appealing to the broader football public for solidarity and support in their fight for fair wage increases.<\/p>\n
Statement attributable to United Workers Union Executive Director Godfrey Moase:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201c<\/strong>Union members at Sherrin are resolved in taking action because they want a fair share of the wealth they help to create by making footballs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cEveryone knows there\u2019s a lot of money in this industry, and it shouldn\u2019t just go to highly paid executives and managers.
